Learning outcomes |
The course is concerned with problem of sources and their use for study of the history of the 19th century. The course is focused on description and characteristic, and primarily on analysis and critique, of the source material. In the classes original sources and edition will be used; original sources are available in local archive and The Bibliotheque of Science in Olomouc. The course is concerned with european and north american sources especially focusing on sources of central Europe. The aim of the course is to acquaint students with various types of sources and to improve their skills of analysis and critique of sources and to employ auxilliary historical disciplines especially paleography.
