Course content
|
Students will be acquainted with the historical development of European graphic with regard to print rooms, ways of the distribution and using of graphic sheets in the past. The main content will be the familirization with individual graphic techniques documented by original sheets - students will learn to distinguish and identify historical graphics on these examples. Students will also acquire the knowledge that will help them to describe basic historical graphis production and to prepare a simple catalogue record. A part of the seminar will be also introduction into basic secondary literature and electronic sources. HF

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course is to teach students to catalogue common graphic production. The course is not only the oportunity to get to know interesting graphic techniques nd works, but primarily the possibility to improve the qualification for being better employed after graduation the university. The course was established under the terms of the project Innovation of Historical Sciences Studies at Palacký University, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0025. HF
A student will learn to catalogue graphic pieces of work, to distinguish basic types of graphic techniques and will gain practical experiences with a classification of graphic production. HF

Prerequisites

12 students from Bachelor studies of single and double History programme or Archival Science: a course B, for the others: a course C. HF

Active class participation, completing and handing in catalogue records. There are 2 credits for a credit and a colloquium. HF
