Learning outcomes
The film seminar is intended to discuss film representations of early modern European history. It will include a dozen of movies which cover several key areas (courtly culture, religion, visual arts, festivities, magic, etc.). Each screening will be preceded by a brief introduction. Students will be provided with recommended reading. Projection will be followed by a discussion.

All movies will be either in English or with English subtitles.
