The texts are chronologically and thematically arranged in order to give to the students a survey of the development of Medieval Latin prose and to present this prose in its continuity versus European civilisation. Mostly prosaic texts have been selected but a certain amount of spiritual and secular poetry will be presented as well as its formal analysis. In the case of spiritual texts biblical and christian motives will be analysed as well. The students are lead to make their own interpretation and translation of the texts.
