Course content
|
1. Selection and assignments of themes for presentation - current topics discussed in abroad impacted journals will be preferred (it is also possible to use the topics which are discussed in current scientific conferences). 2. - 8. Consultations and discussions with the lecturer according to studied information sources and preparation of presentation. 9. - 13. Individual students presentations and discussion of presented topics.

Learning outcomes
|
Seminar is aimed at deepening subject matter of lectures and it offers more attractive topics from current Paleolithic and Mesolithic archeology. Based on recommended scientific literature the students will prepare a presentation concerning to lectured issues and they will discuss about it with lecturer.
Overview of actual Paleolithic/Mesolithic archeology, orientation in the current scientific literature, ability of critical thinking in the interpretation of archaeological sources and scientific hypotheses, improving publication and presentation skills.

Prerequisites
|
Basic knowledge of the Paleolithic and Mesolithic periods at the level of Bachelor's degree, overview of the current literature, submission to course: Current trends in Paleolithic and Mesolithic archeology.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
Attendance in classes (26 hours=1 credits); study of informational sources (25 hours=1 credits); preparation of presentation (25 hours=1 credits).
