Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces to the archeology of medieval Islamic society in broad temporal and geographical contexts. The most important areas of current debate within this archaeological specialisation will be outlined, as well as its ties to historical inquiry. A principal attention will be paid to dominant muslim culture in all its material aspects, but archeological phenomenons of other parallel religious-cultural entities of the Near East (particularly the Christianity) will be also followed.
