Learning outcomes |
The course aims to build awareness of the close relationship between archeology and built environment. Students will learn the basic types of structures of historical buildings and the materials used (stone, wood, clay bricks, daub), great attention will be paid to methods and practical approaches in the research of the historic building and architecture. Practical functions and symbolic meaning of buildings will be outlined.

Prerequisites |
Basic orientation (bachelor study level) in Middle Ages and Postmedieval Period, and in medieval archaeology and archaeological historic preservation.
