Course content
Course is designed as independent lectures about Roman provinces and Roman numismatics. One of the aims of the course is to introduce students with the expansion of the Romans to the Central Europe and with history of Roman provinces in this geographical area. Other aim is to describe characteristic features of the development of the minting of the Ancient Rome and Roman Empire from 3rd century BC to the 5th century AC.

Learning outcomes
Course is designed as independent lectures about Roman provinces and Roman numismatics. One of the aims of the course is to introduce students with the expansion of the Romans to the Central Europe and with history of Roman provinces in this geographical area. Other aim is to describe characteristic features of the development of the minting of the Ancient Rome and Roman Empire from 3rd century BC to the 5th century AC.
Student will acquire basic knowledge about the Roman provinces in Central Europe and Roman minting and will be able to follow Czech and foreign literature about this topic.
