Learning outcomes
|
Historical geography and historical cartography are designed as a guide through environment and his cartographical projections in history with a special attention on early modern era. Establishment of historical geography and cartography is outlined in general perspective and in perspective of Central European experience of Czech Crown/Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic with consideration of the key research topics and trends. Student will get information about Bohemian kingdom, Moravian margraviate and Silesian dukedoms. Account of key personalities from Central Europe to a general (worldly) professionalisation of discipline is emphasized. E xcursions to departments of the cartographical work (Komenský Museum in Přerov, cartographical heritage of J. A. Komenský, Moravian Cartographical Center Velké Opatovice) are part of the course.
Proficiency in the problematics.

For completion of the course proficiency in Medieval and Early Modern history is necessary.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
Attendance in classes, including excursions (24 hours=1 credit); study of informational sources, preparation on colloquium (50 hours= 2 credits)
