Course content
1) Basic problems of La Tene Period, introduction to Celtic archaeology 2) Basics of Celtic numismatics 3) Celtic spirituality system, depots, sanctuaries 4) Problems of oppida 5) Examination of lowland settlements 6) La Tene Period economy and trade routes 7) La Tene Period ceramics 8) Burial rite and burial grounds analysis 9) Weapons and specificities of material sources of Celts and non-Celts 10) Celtic art and iconography

Learning outcomes
The students are more thoroughly introduced to late Iron Age (La Tene Era) on the Czech territory and the European continent. The particular topics of each lesson are indicated below (see Contents). The subject is realized with participation of experts from among Czech and foreign archaeologists and protohistorians, such as PhDr. Eva Kolníková, DrSc. (National Numismatic Committee of the Slovak Republic, Slovakia), or Mgr. Tomáš Mengel (University of Hradec Králové, Czech Republic), and others.
Good orientation in the area of study.
Prerequisites
The knowledge acquired in the "Protohistorie" (Protohistory), eventually the "Výběrové přednášky z archeologie 5 a 7" (Selected lectures on archaeology 5 and 7) subject of the bachelor study is required.
