Course content
|
Lessons of laboratory processing, conservation and restoration. Practical exercises with archaeological pottery finds. Basic treatment of the pottery, conservation and restoration, description of pottery aasemblages and digital processing of archaeological data in database software (e.g. MS Access). Individual practical exercises of laboratory processing of archaeological finds.

Learning outcomes
|
Acquiring of the practical experiences of work with the archeological pottery material.
Knowledge of techniques in laboratory processing of archaeological artefacts. Gaining skills in - conservation and restoration of archaeological pottery and digital processing of data, further basic cleaning, classification and inventoring of archaeological finds.

Prerequisites
|
The basic overview in the archeological cultures in Central Europe.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Systematic Observation of Student
Activity in seminar lessons, parallel tuitions with lector, fulfilment of schduled tasks and individual work in practical exercises.
