Individual lectures provide an overview of various methods of linguistic analysis, clarify the substance of modern linguistic trends, introduce theoretical problems of individual linguistic disciplines or expand the knowledge of the problems of individual linguistic disciplines, demonstrating the linguistic methods of work using specific examples and providing an insight into various fields of linguistics.
The resulting competence consists in: perfect overview of synchronic descriptive grammar of all language layers and its terminology, knowledge of the object, terminology and methods of modern linguistics examining the synchronic state of language and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in empirical (and contrastive) examination of language.
