The extent and intensions of literary epochs are currently being challenged in literary science. In this seminar, on one hand, individual epochs will be discussed by reference to scientific texts, and on the other hand, individual genres will be examined regarding their theoretical foundations and practical textual arrangement. In this process, deliberations about the theory of genres and literary historical thought take priority.
