Course content
A. Internet sources This part of the seminar will be focused on the instruction of competences in the area of the use of Internet sources; work with Internet archives and with the services of book searching (Google Books) will be mentioned. As a part of this introduction, formal and citation rules for work with Internet sources will be summarised. B. Electronic data processing One of the topics of this seminar is the composition of a research paper with the possibility to effectively use modern text editing. Students will also acquire information about possible applications of the traditional technique of mental work in electronic data processing. C. Forms of presentation of research results Another part of the seminar will provide information about various forms of presentation of research outcomes. The seminar will focus on abstract, lecture, research paper, final thesis, poster and review.

Learning outcomes
The general goal of this seminar is to present a broad overview of possibilities of work with Internet sources, electronic data processing and possibilities of presentation of research activity results in the field of German philology.
The doctoral student will learn how to look up Internet sources, electronically process data and he/ she will gain the understanding of how it is possible to present research results in the form of a lecture, research paper or a poster presentation. The student will also be introduced to the composition of reviews and abstracts.
Prerequisites
active knowledge of German language at the C2 level (the course is held in German), knowledge of basic terminology in the field of linguistics
