Learning outcomes
|
The course contains basic chapters from geoinformatics and geographic information systems (GIS) and their use in various spatial analyzes. Emphasis is placed on the representation of reality in the digital environment, the description of individual geoinformation technologies (GIT), the construction of GIS and their use in various scientific disciplines. The course is focused on practical skills with the GIS product ArcGIS Pro from Esri. Each exercise is solved with different data so that students are introduced to the most used data sets in the Czech Republic and in the world.
The course focuses on the acquisition of knowledge. Define key terms, describe the main approaches to demonstrate theoretical knowledge for solving problems.

Prerequisites

Common knowledge of IT (working on a PC) at the secondary school level.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam, Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Seminar Work
The student has to prove the knowledge of the subject topics.
