Course content
The course is focused on getting experience and demonstration of presentation and creative skills of students in the student competitions. Students actively participate in student professional competition with their seminar, semester, or final thesis and actively present and defend it. In the case of interactive contests, such as hackathons, they participate creatively throughout the event, presenting the outcomes achieved in the competition at the end. The student competitions involved are: - GISáček, - The Dean´s Award of the Faculty of Science, Palacký University Olomouc, - Student Scientific Competition of the Czech Geographical Society, - Student GIS Project, - Hackathon in Geoinformatics, - Others upon agreement with the course guarantor, in which the student's personal participation is obligatory. Students are provided with all the necessary information about the competitions and the required documents confirming their participation in the MOODLE course. The credit will be granted after the submission of a document confirmed by the organizer of the student's active participation in the competition. Students are invited to share their experiences in the presentation of the department (providing a program, photos, diploma, blog, etc.).

Learning outcomes
The course aims to bring students to an environment comparing their achieved study knowledge, skills, and results with students of related fields, schools, and specialization. Students will improve their presentation skills and engage in an expert discussion of their projects. The course aims to motivate students after graduation to participate actively in professional conferences through student professional competitions during their studies.
Apply the knowledge for the solution of the complex analytical problem, elaboration of the problem according to the chosen and/or given topic.
Prerequisites
Independent application of knowledge from subjects of geoinformatics study.
