Course content
Topics: - methods of thematic cartography - introduction to digital cartography - data for map making (formats, data sources, portals) - data analysis, choice of cartographic visualization methods - map use - cartographic semiology - multimedia maps - 3D in cartography - graphic tools for map design Exercises are focused on the application of individual and combined methods of thematic cartography.

Learning outcomes
The course provide more detailed information about methods of thematic cartography with emphasis on the modern available tools and digital environment. Students learn theoretical principles and complete practical exercises, where they apply their knowledge and skills.
