The course will consist of the following topics: Cognitive cartography and its methods Methodological aspects of empirical research in cognitive cartography History and actuial state of eye-tracking research, possibilities of its use Design of eye-tracking experiments Algorithms for detection of fixations and saccades Pre-processing of eye-tracking data Possibilities of eye-tracking data analysis The use of GIS tools for visual analysis of eye-tracking data Statistical evaluation of eye-tracking data Combination of eye-tracking with other methods
