The course is focused on detailed presentation of geographical information systems in various spatial analyzes. Emphasis is placed on practical exercises in which students are acquainted with several specialized extensions (eg 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst) and the possibility of creating automated calculations using their own tools in the Model Builder environment. Each exercise is solved with different data so that the students will be introduced to the most commonly used datasets in the Czech Republic and in the world. Exercises are complemented with theoretical introduction and practical demonstrations led by the teacher. Content: 1. Digital geographical data in the Czech Republic and in the world 2. Division and types of spatial analyzes 3. Map algebra 4. Vector overlay analysis 5. Basics of interpolation and triangulation 6. Basics of topology and network analysis 7. Geocoding - principles, reverse geocoding, implementation in ArcGIS 8. Spatial polling and operations (searching for optimal locations) 9. Automation of work in ArcGIS (ModelBuilder and Tasks) 10. ArcGIS platform extension 11. 11. Extending ArcGIS functionality, batch files, toolbars and plugins (Documentation for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Code Sharing, Github, R-ArcGIS Bridge)
