Course content
|
The introductory part on the study of human geography is followed by disquisition of the population geography and the geography of settlement. Attention is paid to development and spatial differentiation of populations and settlement systems, natural change and migration of populations, structure of populations, typology, regionalisation and inner structure of both urban and rural settlements, as well as to urbanisation and suburbanisation processes.

|
The course introduces human geography and specifies its position in the system of scientific disciplines and predominantely deals with the topics of population geography and the geography of settlement.
Recall basic terms and concepts used in human geography, namely in population geography and settlement geography.
