Course content
Introduction to the research at the geographical departments in the Czech Republic. Perception of space, mental mapping and its applications Current research in energy geography Geographical approach to the research of climate change Regions and regionalization Geographical approach to the research of electoral behavior Extinct ponds as a part of historical landscape Geography of housing Geography of gambling ICT for research in physical and environmental geography

Learning outcomes
The main goal of the course is to provide students with information from selected geographical subdisciplines presented as case studies.
Teoretical knowledge and practical skill of geographicall approach to the research of selected topics.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of English at level which ensures fluent interaction.

Essay, Seminar Work, Written exam

Knowledge within the range of lectures and literature, seminar work.
