Main topics: 1. Introduction - recalling basic functionality of QGIS 2. Elaboration of DMR and spatial data interpolation 3. Analyses of DMR ? slope, aspect 4. Elaboration of profiles, relative elevation assessment 5. Analyses of density in geographic phenomena ? elaboration of heat maps 6. Map algebra 7. Software extensions of QGIS (Data Plotly etc.)

Learning outcomes
|
The course expands the prerequisite course KGG/GISV. The course is designed for students of geography for teaching with the aim of broadening their competence in using GIS freeware, namely QGIS. The seminars will be focuse don more complex spatial analyses, processing of raster data in QGIS, elaboration and analyses of DMR and software extensions.
Apply practically GIS methods in geography.
