Learning outcomes
The basis of the course is to introduce students with the legislative process of the assessment of environmental impacts (EIA), including technical documents processed in the assessment of environmental impact. The course includes a practical part where the student himself performs the assessment of the impacts on the environment on a model example.
Students will get base informations and practical experience about the environmental impact assessment including the legislation of this issues. End the end of this course student will be able to make the environmental impact assessment himself.
Prerequisites
Knowledge within the scope of compulsory subjects that precede this subject in the study plan.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance, Seminar Work

Student prepares essay, the student becomes itself evaluator and processes a notice of intention according to Act No. 100/2001 Coll., on the assessment of environmental impacts of selected hypothetical plan. Students in this case, working in groups of 2 to 3. At the end of the semester the student will defend his assessment in a simulated public discussion. Furthermore student during the semester prepares the individual tasks always focused on the issues being discussed such as the calculation of emissions from transport, seeks information system EIA documentation and the documents acquainted with the functioning of the device for measuring the noise etc.
