Course content
|
In the introduction, the importance of the discipline, its methods, and basic terminology are introduced. In addition to general economic geography, the central part is devoted to selected subdisciplines of economic geography and their key topics - geography of agriculture and food production, the geography of industry and global production networks, and the geography of transport, services, and tourism. The development and current status of the socio-economic themes in question at global and regional scales are presented, as well as the factors that cause their differentiation in different natural geographical areas, but especially in various political, economic, and social conditions.

Credit requirements: elaboration of assigned individual and group tasks, test. Exam requirements: knowledge within the range of lectures and literature.
