Medieval philosophy Renaissance philosophy: M. Cusanus, G. Bruno, F. Bacon Modern philosophy: R. Descartes, B. Pascal, B. Spinoza, G. W. Leibniz Enlightenment philosophy German classical philosophy: I. Kant, J.G. Fichte, F.W. J. Schelling, G.F.W. Hegel Philosophy of the 19. and the beginning of the 20. century: A. Schopenhauer, S. Kierkagaard, F. Nietzsche, W. Dilthey. H. Bergson, A. Comte, J. St. Mill, F. Brentano Philosophy of the 20. century

  • Preparation for the Exam - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Exposition of the history of philosophy from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, through Modern Times to the philosophy of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Students will be oriented in the history of medieval, modern and contemporary philosophy and they will be able to explain the main thoughts of great philosophers of these periods.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of ancient philosophy on the level of course PTDF1.

Written exam
