This lectures focuse on one direction in Russian thinking in 19th and 20th century - Russian Cosmism. The roots of this direction can be found in Renaissance natural philosophy enriched with elements of Western and Eastern thinking. While in Russian cosmism we find marvelous concepts of the beginning and future of the world and the position and role of man in the universe. Nikolay Fyodorov's thinking is essential for the development of cosmism as a direction. The work of Constantine Tsiolkovsky has a great importance for the development of a soviet space program. Lectures will also be devoted to the work of Vladimir Vernadsky or Alexander Cizhevsky. Nor can we neglect the impact of cosmism in beautiful literature and popular culture.
