Cycle of lectures Cosmic pessimism is named after one of the books of the American philosopher Eugen Thacker, whose philosophy of coping with nihilism and pessimism is the content of the lectures. In addition to Thacker, attention is also paid to the works of E. Cioran, P. W. Zapffe, T. Liggotti, D. Benatar, R. Brassier in which pessimistic nihilistic antihumanist or antinatalist tendencies are manifested. The lectures try to answer the question of pessimism in contemporary philosophy is a legitimate attitude.
