An overview of Czech philosophy in the 20th century. The lecture focuses on demonstrating the main schools of thought and themes that Czech philosophers have addressed. He concentrates in the first part primarily on the character T. G. Masaryk and the discussions that his thinking in Czech philosophy provoked (positivism, the Czech question, criticism of Marxism). In the second part, the lecture focuses on the personality of Jan Patočka and his pupils, as well as, of course, other currents of Czech philosophy (Marxism, Hejdanek, Bondy, Whitehall).
