Course content
The course is designed for beginners and aims to develop students? ability to communicate in contemporary Persian while also providing foundational skills for reading classical Persian texts, such as Sufi poetry. A basic knowledge of English is required, as some textbook exercises are in English. However, since the course is designed for beginners, no advanced knowledge of either English is expected. Attendance: a maximum of two absences is allowed to accommodate for personal emergencies. In case of absence, the student should be prepared for the next lesson regardless. Students are expected to complete all exercises. Active participation in class. Basic knowledge of the Persian alphabet is required.
