Course content
The course will introduce students to the philosophy underlying the Lama'át, providing the necessary background and understanding required for accurate translation. The Lama'át consists of 28 sections. Each student will be assigned a portion of the text, accompanied by the teacher's commentaries, as their individual assignment. Fakhr al-Din Iraqi's Flashes of Love (Lama'át) is one of the foundational texts of Persian Sufism. This course aims to familiarise students with the Lama'át, enabling them to translate this text from Persian (via English) into their native language.
