1.Basic principles of scientific writing. Tailoring the communication domain and the targeted audience. 2.Organization of the scientific research. Required formats and editorial guidelines (full paper versus letters). What we can learn from key communication approaches used in literature through examples (e.g. Science Mag, Nature Mag, JACS, Angewandte Chemie). 3.How to write with the reader in mind: expectation and context. 4.Reader expectations for the structure of prose. 5.How to emphasize significance and novelty of the research work. 6.The critical use of figures and charts as powerful communication tools. 7.How to select the correct journal for publication. 8.The peer-review process. Awareness of ethical scientific guidelines (science ethical behaviour).
