Course content
1. Summary of legislative regulations connected with dealing with chemicals and waste products within the EU and OECD. 2. Chemical legislation in Czech Republic - Czech Law No. 356/2003 Sb. and its amendments (434/2005 and 440/2008). 3. Chemical legislation in EU - Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of the Chemicals (REACH). 4. Chemical legislation in EU - Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on classification, labeling, and packaging of substances and mixtures, amending and repealing Directives 67/548/EES and 1999/45/EC, and amending Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. 5. - Czech Law No 59/2006. 6. Czech Law No 185/2001 7. Czech Law No. 258/2001. 8. Another documents and norms (Czech Norm ČSN 01 8003) concerning safe handling with chemicals. 9. Information about hazards identification, handling, storage, and regulatory information of selected very toxic compounds. 10. Information about hazards identification, handling, storage, and regulatory information of selected toxic compounds. 11. Information about hazards identification, handling, storage, and regulatory information of selected caustic compounds. 12. Information about hazards identification, handling, storage, and regulatory information of selected carcinogens, mutagens, and substances toxic for reproduction.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to summarize and apply basic laws, legal regulations and administrative orders in the area of securing chemicals, both from the field of national legislation as well as the EU legoslation. Further area of concern is connected with application of safe and security regulations for working with dangerous chemical and waste materials.
Remember safety regulations and connectšd legal regulations necessary for work in the chemical laboratory.
