Learning outcomes
|
The objective of Technical English is to develop language skills and academic skills in the context of English for Science, chemistry in particular, at language level B1-B2. The course focuses on skills needed for reading comprehension of scientific texts and on speaking and listening skills. Students work with a textbook, worksheets and authentic scientific texts.
Reading comprehension of scientific texts in English, use of resources and dictionaries, presentation of a scientific topic and results in English, speaking on selected scientific topics, writing an abstract.

1. Students are required to attend the classes although they may be absent twice per semester and they must participate in an active way. 2. They must prepare for the classes as required by their teachers. 3. They must successfully pass the final test. 4. They must successfully pass the exam.
