Course content
1. The basics of muscle strenght testing. 2. Muscle strenght testing of upper extremity part one. 3. Muscle strenght testing of upper extremity part two. 4. Kinesiology of foot - introduction. 5. Muscle strenght testing of lower extremity part one. 6. Muscle strenght testing of lower extremity part two. 7. Kinesiology of knee and hip joint - introduction. 8. Muscle strenght testing of head and trunk. 9. Muscle strenght testing - practical exam. 10. Kinesiology of cervical spine and shoulder - introduction. 11. Palpation of bones and soft tissue of foot and basic examination. 12. Palpation of bones and soft tissue of knee and hip and basic examination. 13. Kinesiology of elbow and hand - introduction. 14. Palpation of bones and soft tissue of head, cervical spine and shoulder and basic examination. 15. Palpation of bones and soft tissue of elbow and hand and basic examination. 16. Kinesiology of trunk - introduction. 17. Palpation of bones and soft tissue of trunk and basic examination.

Learning activities and teaching methods

  • Preparation for the Exam - 22 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The main goals of the lessons are to inform students about kinesiotherapy examination methods of locomotor system (muscle testing, examination of gait, standing position examination, palpation).
Upon completion of this course the student is able to examine a patient through indicated examination method and on the basis of the examination to judge the patient´s health state.
Prerequisites
Sufficient konwledge of human anatomy and kineziology of human muscleskeletal system.
