Course content
1. Organization and rules in providing first aid. 2. Immediate measures in urgent states. 3. Resuscitation. 4. Bandage/compressing techniques.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Observation, Demonstration, Training in job and motor Skils
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 15 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 40 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students get familiarized with the basic techniques of first aid for different types of injuries and also with the principles of rescue order. Theoretical and practical information on resuscitation of man + urgent measures in selected emergent situations (traumas burns, frostbites, acute myocardial infarction, fit of epilepsy).
Student is able to use gained knowledge in everyday life - for example in case of a need of first aid providing.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of human anatomy.
