Course content
Topics: Ontogenesis of child motor skills. Motor skills assessment. Examination rules. Intrauterine development. Ontogenesis of motor skills - the process of maturation and differentiation. Developmental theories. Developmental stages (milestones of development) - human genetic predisposition, qualitative parameters, reflection of the quality of development in adult motor skills. Stages of development and pathological momentum of an adult patient. Therapeutic system of the Vojta method. Principles of the Vojta method. Neurophysiology of movement control (connectome). Models of reflex locomotion - theory. Reflex crawling. Reflex rotation. 1st position. Analysis of kinesiological content. Analysis of muscle interactions. Muscle differentiation. Correlation of partial models of motor ontogenesis and reflex locomotion. Models of reflex locomotion - practical exercises on oneself. Definition of the starting position of reflex crawling, reflex rotation, 1st position. Localization of zones and direction of pressure. Evaluation of emerging reactions. Indications and contraindications of the Vojta method. Specific diagnoses in Vojta method therapy in pediatric and adult patients. Diagnostic system of the Vojta method. Examination of spontaneous movement of the child. Positional tests (postural reactivity). Dynamics of primitive r reflexology. Degrees of CKP. Practice. Examination and therapy of the patient. Practice with patients of infant, pediatric and adult age. Practical implementation of reflex locomotion activation and kinesiological analysis. Cooperation with various patients and their companions. Basic instruction of the accompanying person.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Observation, Training in job and motor Skils
  • Attendace - 84 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 5 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course introduces students in detail to the development of human motor skills, the diagnosis of motor development disorders, the kinesiological content of the locomotor principle of motor skills, and the possibilities of using reflex locomotion in the clinical practice of a physiotherapist.
The student is able to define the level of motor development in children based on aspectual assessment and is also able to propose basic therapeutic means in the reflex locomotion system. The student is not able to treat a child patient.
Prerequisites
The student must have expert knowledge of the anatomy and neurophysiology of the musculoskeletal system.
