Learning outcomes |
The aim of the course is to make students familiar with the basic surgical terminology and surgical treatment of the main surgical diseases. The emphasis is placed on the issues of the acute abdominal events and musculoskeletal injuries. There is emphasized the signifikance of therapeutits on prevention of postoperative complications particularly deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, decubites and pneumonia.
After successful completion of the course the student has basic knowledge in problems of the most serious injuries and surgery illness incl. methods of their treatment. |
Prerequisites |
Prerequisity for study of surgery and traumatology is a basic knowledge of normal and pathology human anatomy.
