The content of this course varies depending on the specialisation of the visiting professors - academicians from both foreign and domestic universities focusing on Asian studies. Spring semester 2023: The aim of this workshop, which takes place on March 6-9 in hybrid form, is to provide practical advice to PhD students on how to structure a good dissertation, how to write a literature review, how to prepare for conferences, how to select an appropriate journal for publication, how to manage time effectively and avoid burnout, but also information about new trends in open access publishing and involvement in EU- and Czech-funded projects. The course is convened by Kristina Kironska and Alfred Gerstl. The specific lectures will be given by experienced international lecturers and professors, who will also provide specific feedback to students (upon request). Moreover, one afternoon will be dedicated to lectures on Myanmar-related topics to allow the participants to learn more about this country and to also meet fellow PhD students from Myanmar (online).
