Learning outcomes |
1. The student and the supervisor agree on a topic for the paper, ideally a topic that has already been presented as a conference paper or arose from participation in a summer school. 2. In mutual agreement, they will select a target journal or publishing house. 3. The student will become familiar with the formalities of the publisher (journal or publishing house) such as maximum length, format, citation standards, data presentation, etc. 4. The student and supervisor meet regularly to discuss the article. 5. The article is submitted for peer review and, if finally accepted, properly reported as a work produced at the student's institution. 6. The published work is registered in the OBD. The student is obliged to prove the publication activity by submitting the relevant papers or confirmation of their acceptance for publication. The number of credits is proposed on the basis of the work done and the quality of the publication by the supervisor and the dissertation committee to the supervisor, who approves the number of credits. In general: (i) article in proceedings or popularization publication: 5 credits, (ii) article in a professional journal or chapter: 10 credits, (iii) major article in a major professional journal: 15 credits. In the case of co-authorship, the number of credits is divided to reflect the actual contribution of the student.
