Cognitive sciences and their impact on film theory The theory of fictional worlds and its impact on film theory Phenomenology and its impact on current film theory Postmodern philosophy and its impact on current film theory Narratology and its impact on current film theory Feminism and its impact on current film theory Psychoanalysis and its impact on current film theory

Learning outcomes
Alternating lecture cycles present specific contemporary theories with emphasis on applying these theories in specific film genres and areas.
Students will be able to orientate in current film theory. Active use of approaches of individual tendencies in film analysis and interpretation of films.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequsitions. Recommended lecture KDU/ZTF.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam

Knowledge of basic terminology and active using of the terms in analysis and interpretation.
