Course content
Témata: 1. Romantic period (in English, German, French and Russian literature) 2. Russian literature. Monografic lectures on Pushkin, Gogol, Tolstoy 3. English literature. Monografic lectures on Austen, Dickens 4. French literature. Monografic lecture on Flaubert

Learning outcomes
The continuation of Literature 1. Essential history of European literature of the 19th century. The emphasis is given on the changes of thinking on literature, on transformations of literary genres and historical specifics of poetics. Monografic lectures are devoted to the most important writers.
The essential knowledge of European fiction, works, authors and periods.
Prerequisites
The continuation of Literature 1. Literature 2 is basic course for student of the 1st year.

Reading of 10 books for exam.
