Teaching will alternate contextual lectures (theoretical context within current trends in film theory, explanation of terminology, method of translation and use of methodological apparatus) and seminar analysis of pre-assigned texts.

Current film theory The course focuses on the comprehension, reading and interpretation of foreign language texts from the field of contemporary film theory focused on cognitive psychology, narratology, film philosophy, adaptation theory, film theoretical feminism and a new concept of historical film. The choice of concrete texts will be specified according to the focus of the dissertations in the course of the enrolled students.
