Course content
Main topics of the lectures: 1. Basic legal terms. Subjects of law. 2. Legal acts. Contracts. Contracts with consumers. 3. Obligations. Changes and termination of obligations. Securing of the debt and consolidation of the debt. 4. Types of contracts. Selected types of contract. 5. Contract of sale. 6. Credit agreement. Consumer credit. 7. Protection of persons against debts. 8. Inquiry proceedings. Proceedings in consumer matters. 9. Enforcement proceedings. 10. Insolvency proceedings.

Learning outcomes
The subject provides theoretical and practical skills in dealing with insolvent clients (an individual and families). The subject includes classroom training about Consumers Rights - an information about the basic types of contracts, consumer protection, as well as on how to respond in procedural law, especially in the first instance proceedings, enforcement and insolvency.
The student will master the basics of contract law, legal regulation of individual types of contracts. The student will master consumer protection. The student will be able to apply the law in court. The student will be able to evaluate the debtor's position in enforcement and insolvency proceedings.

Seminar Work

The end of course: colloquium Preconditions for successful completion: Full participation in the blocks and active participation in the interactive parts of the lessons according to the rules of UP Olomouc. Elaboration of a seminar paper. Preparation of a structured hearing from a court hearing focused on consumer protection.
