Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this seminar is to enable students to acquire at least basic orientation in the problems of modernism and anti-modernism in the Catholic Church (particular attention is paid to the problems of the Czech Catholic Modernism). Students will be led to acquire work with historical sources and to be able to assess them critically.
Students should learn on the base of critical work with texts to be able to understand the continuity, complexity, and relativity of the historical development of modernism and antimodernism in the history of the Church and to be able to form their own judgement on this problem.
