Course content
|
Reading and study of selected Psalms focusing on poetic elements of the Hebrew text and on the theological message. The students will also learn to use the program BibleWorks for the work with Hebrew biblical texts.

Reading and study of selected Psalms with focus on poetic elements of the Hebrew text and on the theological message. Requirements: to write a seminar essay.
Abilities: 1) to use BibleWorks for the work with Hebrew biblical texts; 2) to structure biblical text and to recognize its poetic features 3) to evaluate suitable biblical parallels; 4) to evaluate secondary bibllical literature.

Biblical Hebrew - basic knowledge. English - basic knowledge (reading)

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Seminar Work
Requirements: 1) Active participation in the seminar. 2) To write a seminar essay (analysis of one selected Psalm).
