Course content

Basic concepts concerning the Scriptures: setting of the traditions recorded in the Scripture, handing over of the religious traditions of Israel and of the early Church, biblical languages, formation of biblical books; the history of the text, Canon, apocrypha, inspiration, the question of the veracity of the Scripture, the history of exegesis and the interpretation of the Scripture in the Church, relevant Church documents about the Scripture.

1) Basic orientation in the Bible and inthe constitution Dei Verbum. 2) Equilibrate attitude to the historical critical research. 3) Ability to discover fundamentalist attitude and to face it.
