Course content
1. History of the interpretation of Holy Scripture 2. Exegesis and its methods 3. Application of exegetical methods, demonstrated on selected texts from the New Testament

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture
  • Homework for Teaching - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students will be able to describe the main principles of biblical exegesis, apply these exegetical principles to selected texts from the New Testament, and use these principles to interpret and understand the messages they convey.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to interpret selected texts from the New Testament.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the issues discussed in the introductions to the New Testament.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

To complete the course, students must pass an oral exam.
