Course content
1. Rules for writing of i/y. 2. S/z as a prefix and as a preposition. 3. Writing of groups bě, pěv, vě, mě / bje, pje, vje, mně. 4. The quantity of vowels. 5. Foreign and borrowed words and their orthography. 6. Rules for writing capital letters. 7. Abbreviations and their orthography. 8. Punctuation (function and distribution)

Learning outcomes
Seminar is focused on the practical application of orthographical and stylistic rules of the Czech language. The aim of the course is systematical practicing of orthographical patterns.
Perfect knowledge of orthographical norm, ability to work as a editorial corrector, orientation in codification sources.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance, Didactic Test

Study of specialized literature (min. 300 pages); active participation on lessons, 2 progress tests (90 % passing), a final test (85 % passing).
