Course content
Students first learn basic rules of the criticism and its place in the literary communication. Then they write one or two critical reviews of the present-day literary work. The reviews are discussed in the group at the seminar.

Learning outcomes
The seminar is entirely intent on literary criticism production of undergraduates, if you like on writing od reviews of original Czech poetry and fiction. The resultant texts will be subjected common critics. At this discussion the class will assess the informative and evaluative components, its formal structure and significance construction. The seminar will be organizated as an alternative teaching form, through three blocks during a semester.
The student should not only be able to critically evaluate a literary work, but she/he should be also, and in particular, able to formulate his opinion precisely.
