Course content
1) Introduction 2) The roots of the small forms in the beginning of the 20th century and after the World War II. Červená sedma, Osvobozené divadlo, D 34, Divadlo satiry. 3) Reduta and the beginnigs of the Divadlo Na zábradlí. Faust, Markéta, služka a já; Autostop 4)Semafor, Jiří Suchý and Jiří Šlitr 5) The beginnigs of the Czech musical comedy. Jiří Suchý-Ivan Vyskočil: Kdyby tisíc klarinetů. Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to make the students acquainted with the topic of the theatres of small forms, especially in the 1960´s, when these scenes became a cultural and social phenomenon. The lyrics will be analysed according to the context of that time, but also with connection to the actual reception.
Knowledge of the authors and their works connected to the area of the theatres of small forms.
Prerequisites
Basic orientation in the literary and cultural context of the 1960s.

-active participation on the lesson -regular attendance -making a paper on a chosen topic -making an analyse of one lyric from the repertoir of small theatres
